  • merely 9 days until my due date.
We went to bed after 3 this AM.
I was up at 9:30 when Freddie rolled over on me.  (ouch)
I started having severe abdominal aches, and wondered, is today the day?
I got up and Freddie told me to come back to bed.  I laid there until 10:30 just trying to get comfortable, thinking about all things I still need to do.
It must have worked because I then woke up at 12:30 (after countless nightmares)
Used my new skillet and made Fred a Bacon and Egg sandwich on whole wheat, I toasted a (lenders) bagel with PB.
    Man, the Cupboard is BARE!
Hoping my Target Gift Card arrives today.
Have to go to the grocery store, I have a WIC check that expires today. Milk, eggs and juice… Hopefully I can scrounge up some $$ for cheese.

  • Today has been such a “blah” day.
After church last night we went to get something to eat at Waffle House (everything else was closed)
We came home and just hung out.  We were up til nearly 4 AM.
    I slept til almost noon.
I was having a holiday/pregnancy craving…. Every year I buy one box of white fudge covered oreos.  I didn’t buy them this year!  GASP!  I went out in search.  Walgreens, CVS, Waffle House, 1 Service Station and IHOP were the only things open.  I didn’t get my cookies.  Sigh

Came home and made Bacon, Eggs and Grits.  (I haven’t really done a MAJOR grocery shopping trip since OCTOBER, just picked up things here and there.  The worst time to discover that is when all the stores are closed) We’re out of tea, Cheese, eggs, and a BUNCH of other things.

We’ve just been hanging out having a (too) quiet day.  It was nearly 80 degrees.  My laptop is ill, I’m using Fred’s old one (good thing he got it fixed!)  I did eBay, and Fred is loading photos from his computer to Facebook, and I’ve been going through tagging tons of them.

I can’t believe I only have 11 days left until my due date!  I still have a lot to do.  I need to get to the store and get bottles, a diaper bag, socks, receiving blankets….  I have a coupon for Target for 10% off anything that was not purchased from my registry.  On December 12th someone told me she had a gift card for Target that she was sending me, so I’ve kind of been counting on that.

Fred had a $1700 car repair bill 2 weeks ago, so money has been ultra tight.  I KNOW God will provide….But…

We don’t have a dresser for the baby, I have a lot of stuff hanging, but I need at LEAST a rubbermaid tote for onesies and jammies and the like.

I want her to arrive, but at the same time I’m enjoying the fact of how relatively easy it is to take care of her “inside”  LOL

I put the bassinet sheet on the mattress, and tossed a bunch of stuff.  I guess that was my “nesting” LOL

I called the Dr. Yesterday AM as I had been instructed to.  I got the service.  I wasn’t about to page the Dr. on call to tell him I felt better.  The antibiotic and prednisone really did its job!

Haven’t decided what to do for supper yet.  (I picked up some cheap stuff at the grocery on Saturday) so its Chicken with Mac and Cheese, or Brown Rice, and Green Beans.  Unless we decide to go to Waffle House Again… LOL

    How was your Christmas?

  • 38 weeks today

Dr didn’t even do an exam since I’m not having any contractions or anything.

If I’m not markedly better by Wednesday morning (respiratory wise) OB is going to admit me to the hospital.

Please, Please, Please Pray that the LORD will grant me much improvement by then.  I have not been hospitalized for my asthma since July 2003, this is the longest span in my adult life.  I do not want to be hospitalized for my asthma, I have so much to do before the baby arrives yet.

I did get a pediatrician today and installed the car seat.

  • Update

I haven’t really been around much.  I’ve been on an antibiotic for a sinus infection since the 11th.  My parents got here on the 14th, for my baby shower on the 15th.  I had a really nice time.  I got a lot of cute things.  Pictures to follow one day (maybe) lol

On Thursday evening (the 18th) I started feeling really poorly.  (Still on my antibiotic) I woke up on Friday, and KNEW it was settling into my chest.  As someone who has had asthma and chronic bronchitis since 15 months old I KNOW my body.  I called the pulmonologist to see if he could fit me in for an emergency visit.  Lo and behold there is no Dr. in the office until January 5th!

So, I called the OB’s office tried to speak with a nurse, but they were all tied up, so I moseyed myself to the ER.  I was there for 5 hours.  I got a stereroid shot, another 10 day dose of my antibiotic (Augmentin 875) Prednisone to take home, and a 1 hour breathing treatment.  They didn’t do a chest x-ray since I’m pregnant.  They were basically treating it as bronchitis.

Well, In bed, Friday into Saturday if I tried to lay on either side my chest would start aching and burning, which makes me think pneumonia (I’ve had that enough too).  The pharmacist says the antibiotic is strong enough to kick that if that is the case.  Well, (Don’t ask where this came from – pregnancy, paranoia) last night I started thinking, “What if I have blood clots in my lungs?”  I have ZERO reason the think that, I’ve never had a blood clot, it’s just paranoia I’m sure.  I go to the OB tomorrow for my 38 week check up.  I will be sure to mention it to him.

I finally started packing my hospital bag yesterday.  I wanted to vacuum the car and install the car seat today, but I don’t think I’m doing anything as of right now.  Lord willing, we’ll make it to the evening service at church.  Missed Sunday School and AM service this morning.  Had some oatmeal about 1:15 so I could take my meds.  drinking lost of fluids just trying to stay hydrated.  Need to put stuff away.  I’ve got some of the stuff from the shower away, but living room still looks like a baby store exploded.

God is still on the Throne! Amen!?

Psalms 61:1-4 Hear my cry, O God; attend unto my prayer.  From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.  For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy.  I will abide in thy tabernacle for ever: I will trust in the covert of thy wings. Selah.

Revelation 22:2 … Even so, come, Lord Jesus.

Beulah Land, I’m longing for you…

  • Please Pray

I just found out that our Pastor’s mother has a brain tumor.  Please keep her and the family in prayer.  Please pray the LORD gives the Doctors wisdom.  Pray for God’s Divine healing.  Pray the LORD’s will be done.

  • GOD is Merciful

    • I got a speeding ticket in September.
    • 40 in a 25
    • in a school zone.
    • Fines doubled in a school zone
    • I am an extra cautious driver
    • I use my directional (turn signal, blinky what have you) in parking lots
    • I obey the speed limit
    • Fred gets mad at me for “going slow” when I obey the signs
    • If there is a doubt I will make it through the yellow (amber) light, I stop (unless the person behind me is tailgating)
    • ANYWAY
    • Fine was $192 and change! YIKES
    • Surely, there would be an insurance surcharge.
    • I plead not guilty on October 28th (I didn’t know what Nolo Contendre meant, I’m such a legal novice)
    • By doing so, I was scheduled for a trial today
    • Told to be at court at 8 AM
    • It was after 9 and they still hadn’t called the first case
    • They came in told us to turn off our phones, told us where the rest rooms were, told us if we needed to talk to go outside
    • We were all sworn in
    • 3 cases later I really had to pee.  9 months pregnant, Hello?
    • I went to the rest room
    • When I came back, Freddie said they had called my name.
    • I spoke to one of the officers, he said they’d call me again
    • A particular case was taking a long time and I was having Braxton Hicks
    • Judge and a bunch of people were reviewing a video in the back
    • Fred approached the prosecutor and said, “My wife is 9 month pregnant, NOT in labor or anything, but she’s uncomfortable, she was in the restroom when you called her case.”
    • Mister Nice Prosecutor Man said, “I’ll call her next” He looked at my case and Moved it to the top of the pile
    • Fred came back to sit down, and before his tukus was in the chair,
    • Mr. Nice Prosecutor Man said, “You’re Free to go”
    • I grabbed my stuff and asked Fred Why
    • He approached the officer and said, “Does that mean the case is dismissed?”
    • Officer “Bubba Bob” shrugged
    • Fred asked the Prosecutor, and he smiled and said, “Yes”
    • We got out into the hallway and all my stress broke.  I started sobbing.  That $200 is a God Send
    • Fred needed $1700 worth of repairs on his car
    • We have a baby coming
    • It is just one less thing to have to worry about
    • All the tension I was holding in my neck and shoulders is still there, I came home and took a nap
    • Now I think I have a sinus infection.  My dizziness, the pressure, bad headache, when I woke up it felt like I had fluid in my ears
    • Waiting for the doctor to call me back.
    • I just had grits for lunch
