  • could I ask you to vote for my friend @GiantSis? HERE she is in 4th place, Elizabeth N from Texas.  You can vote daily thru the 29th.  She really deserves to win!  She’s awesome!

  • nightmares

I had terrible, horrible, awful nightmares last night.  needless to say I didn’t sleep well.

Last night when I was cooking dinner, Lydia came into my teeny kitchen and out of nowhere just reached up, held my hand and said, “Don’t worry Mama.”  Then went back to her Sesame Street DVD.

She’s my everything on this earth.

  • ugh!

So Lydia got sick last week, then I got it.  Yesterday was TERRIBLE.  Every cough or sneeze wracked my body and my ribs were killing me.  Really was thinking that it could be pneumonia.  This morning, I woke up feeling a bit better, it still hurts when I cough, but not like it did for the past two days.  But this morning I got hit with some stomach thing.  ick.

I’m so glad my friend won a kindle and sold me her old nook at a STEAL!  Most of the books I’ve downloaded were free, but a few I used (you guessed it) Gift cards that I earned from Swagbucks.  I am currently reading “Unorthodox”  I’m only in the second chapter, it is a little weird right now.  I hope it is good because I used $10.99 worth of B&N Gift cards!  LOL

  • We went for a ride today.  I’m not feeling that well but was glad to get out of the house.  We drove a couple of towns up to Juno Beach, FL.  We drove through Palm Beach and just looked at all the extravagance.  We stopped in Juno Beach at a playground and let Lydia run around for a while.  They had five different slides that she took advantage of.

Then we went to get a late lunch.  It was just about 4 PM, we didn’t want to go to a chain.  Well, we kind of did, but it was a local chain at least.  The Thirsty Turtle Sea Grille.  I had a great turkey club, and Fred had a burger and Lydia had chicken fingers and fries (finger actually – lol 2 came home as leftovers)

Then we came home and switched cars so Fred could get an oil change at Pep Boys.  He had a $20 gift card, and they price match – so he had an ad for an $11.99 oil change, and then he got 2 jugs of windshield washer fluid and some car “trees”.  We went to Dunkin Donuts to wait because they said it was going to be about 45 minutes.  Starbucks has spoiled me for all other coffees.  Now I am a very frugal person, but I get free Starbucks gift cards from Swagbucks after I get my 5 allotted Amazon Gift Cards for the month.  I can buy the bags of coffee there, and brew at home – so I rarely pay actual money for coffee.  I got a cup at Dunkin Donuts, and sadly it was just like drinking hot brown water. :/ lol

We came home and I am drinking a cup of Traditional Medicinals Throat Coat Tea.  Still FAR too full to eat dinner.

Lydia grabbed the broom so I put her apron on her.  (My mom got it before she was a year old) She likes to help Mommy!  She is actually sitting in her recliner wearing it now.  LOL

  • Courageous

Watched Courageous today. We lived in Albany GA when Sherwood was filming Fireproof. That is where we had Lydia. Thankful for people making clean, moral movies.

It made me cry. A lot. Most men today are not “courageous”. I was talking to a dear friend of mine who is on her second marriage. Both husbands cheated on her. Infidelity today sadly seems the norm. Pray for our husbands and fathers won’t you?

  • Sweet sleep

I could watch her sleep for hours.

  • I took the plunge and bought Lydia panties today.  Between 6 and 7:30 she peed in 2 pairs already.  Hey @Shamrocklover can you send me that plan you used?  LOL

Last week Lydia was evaluated for ESE (Exceptional Student Education) she does not qualify, because based on her last test, she is now *normal* she still has some speech delays, but WOW did GOD answer prayers!
