I just got home from a concert my sister and I went to for her Birthday. It was a Benefit, “Rock to the Rescue” to benefit the Port Authority NY, NJ Police. The National anthem had me choked up a little bit.
Here’s the Rundown:
The first Performer was:
Jack Blades of Night Ranger and
Damn Yankees
Then some guy who’s name I I missed
Lorenza Ponce (a violinist /singer who has played with Sheryl Crow, and Bon Jovi)
John Waite
Felix Cavilere (of the Rascals)
Sam Moore (of Sam And Dave)
Mark Farner (of Grand Funk Railroad)
Survivor
REO Speedwagon did an acoustic bit while they were having technical difficulties
Styx
Bad Company
REO Speedwagon
and Foreigner
There were police officers there from the Port Authority, and Vincent Pastore (Who apparently is Big Pussy on the Sopranos… I don’t have HBO, I’ve never seen it). The show started at 5:00, and didn’t end till after midnight. Good cause, and they Rocked! All of them… (I’m such an 80′s child)
