Lydia had a tooth break her gums today! I’m so shocked, excited, happy and sad all at the same time! My little baby will be 5 months old next week!

One year ago tonight I went to bed knowing that I would wake up and take a pregnancy test. I had no idea how much different my life wouild be today.
We had a miscarriage in August 2006. Last year May 10th was a Saturday. I went to a Mother/Daughter Breakfast with our church ladies. By the time I got there EVERYONE knew I was pregnant.
I’m pretty sure I was on prednisone at the time. This is my first “pregnant” picture. I was positively glowing. God had planted little Lydia in my womb and I had to place all my trust in him. I prayed every day of my pregnancy for the LORD to protect her, for her to be born healthy, for her not to have to suffer with Asthma.
My Dad took this with his cell phone last night. I totally have a burp cloth on my shoulder. I love it!
She will be four months old on Wednesday and we are headed to NY/NJ/PA for a visit on Thursday LORD willing. We can’t wait to introduce our blessing to her Nana (Fred’s Mom) Her Cousins, Aunts and many friends.
My Mom and Dad came into town yesterday and are here through Monday. I am so excited to be spending Mother’s day AS a Mommy, and WITH my Mommy.
God is so good to me.

- we started on rice cereal on Monday night
- we succeeded with rice cereal on Tuesday night
- videos available on www.youtube.com/sglenney
- We hope to go North to visit family and Friends in NY/NJ in the next couple of weeks
- Fred has been working very hard the past week, I’m very proud of him
- we are out of brownie mix (which is both a good and a bad thing – haha)
- Fred is giving the message at the Youth activity at Church tonight, Lydia will be the youngest one there.
- My fave clothing store is Fashion Bug (affordable, practical, a lot of modest stuff) The nearest one to us is in Tallahassee, FL. We took a road trip last Saturday and Fred bought me 5 tops and a skirt.
- The day before we went to Columbus, GA becasue I thought there was one there. (whoops) However he took me to OIive Garden where I got the Zuppa Toscana (yum) and breadsticks. I just might be able to live on that. I love soup.
- Mommy and Daddy are coming up for Mother’s day. (Mother’s day is May 10th, last year May 10th was the day I officially found out I was pregnant)
- I have no medical coverage anymore… without it my prescriptions cost over $700 a month. Anybody know of any programs that offer assistance?

We have our moments (and hours and days, and weeks and months) but I love my Husband, I love my family, God is so good!

URGENT PRAYER REQUEST
Thanks for all of you who prayed for an unspoken request for Renee last week. God answered that prayer, and everything is fine. However now there is a more serious issue.
This is copied from Renee’s Blog:
I need everyone to start praying for Gabriel!
Gabriel got some blood test yesterday….
Normal alkaline phosphatase levels are below 281, Gabriel’s are at 4,757
The dr said its “serious, but we don’t know how serious”
She could have he said it one of three things
- Bone infection
- bone metabolic disorder
- or bone cancer
Gabriel is Renee’s 18 month old daughter. Please, please, please keep her lifted up before the LORD.

Okay Moms (or Dads)
Lydia slept in her crib for the first time last night (I’m so proud of her) at 12 weeks old.
I put her in around 11:30, she fussed a little bit until about 12:30 then I heard her snoring away peacefully via my great baby monitor (Thanks Grandma Vigar)
Around 2:45 I heard her crying, so I got up and started to fix a bottle, but then realized that it wasn’t quite time to eat yet, and she wasn’t really crying a “hungry” cry.
I went back to bed.
4:46 She was awake and ready to eat, I fed her, changed her and put her back in the crib
She woke up at 9:29 for a fresh diaper and feeding. I could tell she was still sleepy, so I put her back and she slept until NEARLY 1PM!!!
I fed her and changed her and we played a little bit and she fell back asleep around 2:30! She did have a cold last week, and still has a little nasal congestion.
I am afraid she is sleeping excessively! My mother always told me, “If you didn’t need it, you wouldn’t sleep” She has no fever, she’s eating well, should I be concerned?
My new camera should be here today per the UPS website! YAY!
