- I was going to try to start potty training Lydia a year ago, but Fred got very sick and things went by the wayside.
- I was scheduled to go to a potty training workshop on April 14th when i got a call from Fred that his mother was in a coma, and we had to leave for NY.
- I’ve been sick since we got back from NY. Thyroid out of whack, anemic, found a spot on my lung….. (What else have you got?) So, we have barely worked on it.
- Lately she has been putting her hands down her diaper a lot.
- Last night when I was getting her ready for bed, I undressed her and took off her diaper to put on a new one – she took off running! We played for a few minutes tehn she went and stood on the tile by the front door and tinkled. LOL GLAD IT WASN’T ON THE CARPET
- This morning I woke her and she was dry (9 times out of 10 she stays dry through the night) I put her right on the potty. 10 minutes later and I hear her, I encourage her to listen, “do you hear that? You’re going in the potty!” She finishes I tell her to stand up and look and she says, “OH!” It was really cute, but I wonder if she even knew she went.
- This afternoon she took a nap and when she woke up she reached down between her legs almost like she was going to scratch an itch – but she pulled the diaper out of the way and proceeded to pee on the floor.
- I guess it is really time to buckle down!

It’s tough in the beginning, but it sounds like she’s ready! Good luck!! Get her all excited about “big girl panties.” I swear it helps.
