• So, my sister Jody is finally scheduled for her sugery tomorrow.  She broke her femur on July 9th, and after 4 chemo treatments 4 weeks apart, the doctors are ready.

  10 years ago, the only option would have been amputation.  It is the most complicated surgery that can be done on the leg, and is "scheduled" to be 10 hours long.
