| I can't believe that Lydia will be 10 months old next Friday! We went to the Dr on Monday for her 9 month check up (2 weeks late) she weighed 20lbs 13 oz, (75th percentile) she's 28 inches long (50th percentile) and her head was 48cm (95th percentile). Based on her head circumference measurements from her previous check ups, she just has a big head genetically. (I knew that) She is pulling herself up on everything! She wants to walk so badly I think she can almost taste it. We are working on more finger foods. She loves cheerios, and rice chex. This week we tried diced peaches and diced bananas. They were a little slippery, but she conquered them. Last week (or 2 weeks ago, I don't remember) I had a piece of fried chicken, I peeled of the breading and skin and gave her a piece smaller than my pinky nail. She must have chewed it for 10 minutes, then she didn't know what to do with it. LOL We started on a new formula yesterday. This one is a cows milk based one. (Pray she has no reactions, she has been on a hypoallergenic one since she was a month old) But since she's had yogurt with no complications, the doctor said to try it. 7 teeth, she puts those suckers to good use too! Her hair is still fine, but definitely on the reddish side like mine was as a baby. Dada is still the only discernable word she says. I love hearing her talking to herself in her crib, softly saying, "Dada, Dada, Dada" So cute! We went grocery shopping with a new friend today. She and her husband are classmates of Fred's and we actually "met" on freecycle last week. Then the school had a luncheon for all the first year female students, and the wives of first year male students, so we "officially" met on Tuesday. The school even provided child care! It was nice! Very generous! I'm still looking for coke codes if anyone has any they're not using! | | |
| We got our Florida drivers licenses last week. We moved here on September 3rd. On August 31st the fee was $27. On September 1, 2009 the fee went up to $48!!!!!! WOAH! It is good for 8 years, but it is an awful photo. lol At least it doesn't have my weight on it like the GA one did! It also has my LEGAL name on it. AHHHHH. (that was contentment) I didn't like having to explain to people why I signed things differently than my license. We had a nice time when my parents were here we went to Pensacola Veteran's Memorial Park which is home to The Wall South. Then we drove to Pensacola Beach. I was amazed at how white the sand was. It almost took my breath away! I was sad to see them go. It was hard when they got here, because Lydia didn't seem to remember them. She wasn't feeling well, but when my Dad took her she screamed bloody murder. I could tell he was upset, he said, "She doesn't want to be near me." It broke my heart.
Lydia and Grandma, Lydia is just overtired. I took this as a goof, because my Mom always tells Lydia, "You're not allowed to cry with Grandma!"
The Wall South It is one half scale the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall in Washington DC
The Gulf of Mexico and Pensacola Beach
My Mom and Dad, just over a year after his stroke
Is it too much to ask to be able to rotate a photo on Xanga? Or am I just spoiled by Facebook. UGH. Its too late now, so you'll just have to turn your head. LOL By the way. If anyone is a coke brand drinker (coke, diet coke, sprite, coke zero, sprite zero, powerade...) and you don't save your My Coke Reward points and it wouldn't be too much trouble, I'd appreciate it if you message me the code before tossing it in the trash! Just thought I'd ask! Thanks! | | |
| Poor Lydia. The past 3 days she has been all boogery. :( I'm feeling worn down myself, but I'm used to it. I don't want her to grow up chronically ill like I did. She slept until 8ish this morning, and here it is 9:25, she's already down for a nap. My parents are on their way!!! YAY ETA 1:00PM CT; (that is without stops, so I'm thinking closer to 2) My new laptop is on the fedex truck for delivery! Whee! I'm showered! Planning on going to the wall south tomorrow. | | |
| Lydia is all about Dada. She said it Thursday for the first time minutes before he got home, but then wouldn't say it again. When she woke up she wouldn't say it, then he left, and she said it to a Teddy Bear, Josh's belt, her car seat, a bottle. lol He finally heard it on Saturday and it lit him up. I can't believe in 9 days she will be 9 months old! Where did my baby go? She is so independent! I'm so OCD about new foods. My allergies as a kid were awful, and I have really bad asthma so I am doing EVERYTHING within my power to avoid them in her, where ultimately I have no power it is all GOD. Josh found an apartment so he will be leaving us on the 16th. It was a lot of fun having him here. We'll see him at church still,. and he promised ot cut Lydia's nails for me still. lol I have been out of my thyroid medicine for over a month. I have no refills and apparently my OB from GA won't authorize one for me. I am so worn down. I know it is affecting my whole system, including my breathing. Sigh. I think Fred's insurance is effective in November. hope it doesn't count as a "pre existing condition" BLEAH. | | |
| I wish I knew how to be a 50's mother. LOL I wish I could sew, cook to beat the band, vaccuum in heels, clean anything! I don't wear pants. I haven't in almost 5 years. I have a hard time finding modest skirts I like, (at least to the knee, and not too tight) If I knew how to sew I could make some, but then I guess I'd need a sewing machine too. lol Also Lydia has a TON of Onesies, but now that it is getting cooler I want to put a little skirt on her or a jumper. Sigh. My silly little woes. Today was a decent day. I use Nursery water for Lydia to drink, dilute her juice, and to make her cereal. The cheapest it usually is, Walmart $1.28 a gallon. Publix had it for 5 for $5. I swung over there and they rang up for $1.49 each. So I got one free (I was unaware of that policy, but cool!) so I got 5 for $4. At CVS ECB's for the quarter are out. Pampers were $9.88 and I had a $2 MFR coupon, and $1.50 ECB, also got a coupon for CVS Gold Emblem Nuts $2 off 2, they had little pouches of cashews for 99 cents, so I got them for Free. When I got home I had a $25 Mater Card Debit Card in the mail that I had won. (Cool) AND Fred ordered me a new laptop!!!! He had something sell on eBay for $175, and we got our security deposit back from our old apt. I told him we should use it on something more practical, but my old laptop only had an 18G hard drive. Photos and videos of Lydia from April-September 21, and it was FULL. lol Beggers can't be choosers, so I was satisfied, but we got a decent deal on a new Dell inspiron 15. WHEE! Less than $500 including shipping and tax! Still doing youdata, the few cents a week add up. youdata.com/join/mrsknapp | | |
