On the 4th I realized I was running low on diapers, so I ordered a case of Huggies from Amazon. They are scheduled to be delivered today. The UPS guy is USUALLY here by 11AM.
Yesterday we went out to dinner, and Lydia ate a mess of peanuts before dinner came. Before she went to bed, she had pooped twice. She kept asking for “DOO? DOO?” (that is Juice? Juice?)
I told her, “Lydia you have had more than enough to drink! You are not thirsty, just bored.” (I am the same way) lol. Jokingly I said, “You only have 3 diapers left until the UPS man gets here!”
This morning she woke up and got a dry diaper and had her milk. I changed her. Not 20 minutes later, she poops. I have one diaper left and want to get her in the tub. I hold off a bit and then give in to the bath. I left a note on the door, “Driver, please leave diapers.”
We get out of the bath, get on the last diaper. 10 minutes later she poops! ACK!
We have no choice, I get her freshly bathed in her poopy diaper and strap her in the car seat to go to Target. (about 2 miles away) I grab diapers and head to the rest room. No changing table. By this time she is squirming and screaming, “I STINK! I STINK!” (poor baby) we get into the other bathroom and she is wailing! I open her diaper and find unchewed peanuts in there!!!! along with a raging diaper rash! How can that happen so fast? I take a huggies “natural care” wipe and gently blot her and she practically propels herself backward off the changing table. I slather some A&D ointment on her and we head out with me promising her juice. (JUICE? AM I CRAZY?) We get milk instead.
She drinks her milk and plays with my phone while she calms down. We go to the car, we need to stop at the post office (3 miles away) to mail out 3 things I sold on eBay. She falls asleep in the car. It is 100 degrees, and even if it wasn’t, I wouldn’t leave her anyway. I figure, I wake you now to run in and mail these, or we go home and I wake you anyway and they still don’t get mailed. I go for the latter.
My package gets stuck in the parcel bin. I tell them at the counter, they shrug.
We leave to come home, and stop at the complex’s office. UPS didn’t drop off.
We get home and put on Elmo, she stands there with her legs spread and screams. I check her and her rash is worse! I didn’t want to hurt her with any stinging ointment, so I filled the diaper with cornstarch powder. Poor baby.
A nap is certainly in order!
EDIT***** Just called the pediatrician her wailing got so bad, they are calling in some Nystatin Cream. Seriously, worst rash she has ever had. poor baby.
