  • 10 years? Really?

    Friday, March 16, 2001
Sigh, I guess this is as good a time as any to begin a new weblog. Today at my job of six and a half years, my boss brought me outside and told me that Wednesday will be my last day. I have been looking for jobs for a while, but I haven’t found anything as of yet. It was like when I was 16 years old, I was dating this guy and I decided to break up with him, but he did it first and like a big dope I cried all day.
So after work, I had an interview, and then made an appointment for a manicure first thing Thursday morning. (A little treat for myself, besides the salon is right next to my “Old Job”) God it feels so weird saying that. Well, I better schedule a bunch of interviews because I need to find something to keep me busy. Since the age of 14, I have only been unemployed once, and that was when I was 17 – for two weeks…. Wish me luck!

    10 years ago wow.

Right now I am exhausted but can not get comfortable to sleep.  Lydia woke up crying and I brought her out to sleep on the couch next to me.  She couldn’t get comfortable either, so she is sleeping on the floor.  lol

10 years ago.  I had just left my dead end job at the deli – I had no idea what my future had in store for me.
3 states later, 1 miscarriage, 2 relationships 1 beautiful toddler, 7 years in health care, 2 cars, 100 lbs lost and gained, switched from diet pepsi to diet coke (haha), stopped dying my hair after 14 years, lost friends, reunited with old ones, made many lifetime ones.

Thanks for the trip Xanga.  I’m still along for the ride!

Probably a good idea to notify everyone to whom you sent the message, ASAP.

Please Do Not Send Me Any More Amber Alerts… As Each One Sent To Me Has Been A HOAX… Thank you!

  • Sorry to hear about your job – wishing you the best

  • Thanks for the prayers.  I had seen your comment right before I deleted that last post.  After I posted, I had second thoughts about putting it out there.  Glad you saw it tho to pray.  = )  I like that you posted a 10 year old post.  I can relate to the “lost friends, reunited with old ones, made many lifetime ones.”  I always hafta remind myself: “Friendships: a reason, a season, or a lifetime.”  Funny how things change–relationships end, new ones begin, and sometimes you don’t know why.  Just gotta trust God & go on.  = )  Thanks again for the prayers.  Take care & God bless!
